Purpose of the Job

The Product Manager is responsible for managing ipNX’s set of retail products over their life cycle from ideation through development, launch sale, marketing and support and finally discontinuance. The role involves managing the entire portfolio of products with the primary objective of maximizing sales & profitability while also delivering complete customer satisfaction and delight. Other key responsibilities include: Product Positioning and Strategy.

Educational Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent (2.2/Upper Credit Minimum)

Functional Skills:

  • Experience of delivering features and products at scale
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Products/Proposition Development and Management
  • Business Case Development
  • Business/Product Presentations Skills
  • Demonstrable interpersonal and relationship management skills at expert level.
  • Documentation and Strategic planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project management skills also desirable
  • Work Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years track record of bringing new products to market within a Retail environment that meet the highest standards of delivery and quality
    • At least 2 years plus product development, market and industry experience in a supervisory capacity
    • Prior experience in product management and research
    • Experience using data to illustrate business conclusions
    • Product Life Cycle Management
    • Knowledge of the market and industry
    • Experience working in the Telecommunications industry is desirable
    • Knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian and global Information Technology Industry especially Telecommunications
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams (both internal & external)
