Reporting to:  Divisional CEO, Retail
Travel Frequency: Occasionally

Purpose of the Job

The Head, Marketing is responsible for  the execution of the company's overall marketing strategy and Initiatives. Reporting directly to the Divisional CEO, you will be accountable for the development and successful implementation of all marketing research, campaign plans/programs, branding & product positioning, product & sales support strategies, while also strongly maintaining key industry & public relations.

    Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or an equivalent  (2.2/ Upper Credit Minimum)
    • MBA or Master’s degree in relevant field will be advantageous
    • Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies, channels and branding
    • Exceptional knowledge of marketing techniques, tools and platforms
    • Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling products or services
    • Ability to comprehend and interpret competitor strategies and consumer behavior
    • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
    • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
    • Superb communication and collaboration abilities
    • Demonstrable leadership and influencing skills at a senior level
    • Strong time management and organizational abilities
    • Documentation and Strategic planning skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
  • Work Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of varied experience in marketing.
    • Experience in content management and advertisement is advantageous
    • Experience in running marketing campaigns
    • Experience with digital marketing platforms
    • Knowledge of the Nigerian and Global Technology market and industry
    • Proven ability to manage budgets
    • Experience using data (text, images & video) to illustrate business conclusions
    • Strong experience as a line manager and a coach leading diverse teams
    • Ability to simplify complex information into a user-friendly format
    • Creative mind with superb written and verbal communication skills.
